Inflammatory myopathy may be the first manifestation of underlying malignancy. It was reported in patients with colon cancer, breast cancer, ovarian cancer, lung cancer and non-Hodgkin lymphoma. There are few reports regarding inflammatory myopathy in patients with gastric cancer.
